Back in late 2008, the magical 2010 debut from UK popsters Allo Darlin’ was just a twinkle in frontgirl Elizabeth Morris’ eye. She got together a few songs, her ukulele, her delicate and cute voice, and recorded what she calls a “lo-fi Christmas record.” “S P A C E Christmas” is the first track off an EP called Merry Christmas From Allo Darlin’, which was the first music released under the name Allo Darlin’. The five-song EP, including a cover of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and a demo of “S P A C E Christmas,” is a quiet and charming bunch of songs to accompany your calm Christmas activities. The EP is available for download on the Allo Darlin’ BandCamp for only ₤3, which is less than $5! And if you’re like these songs as much as I do, go ahead and order the self-released CDr for the same price with a little bit of shipping.
